Now that you mention it, and I am not trying to knock your methods of
getting apps to run, but if EMM386 is installed in his config.sys, that
could be the problem.

It you use the noems,ram, or x= parameters, you will probably run into
problems.

My rule of thumb is absolutely do not use a config.sys or autoexec.bat file
when running Win95 or Win98. I have found it always runs better without
them.
