Compatiblity probs between Win98 and DOS programs?

I've had problems with older Dos programs that used the Pharlap or other
memory managers (mostly 3D rendering programs and PCB layout programs). All
my other 'normal' dos programs work much better than they did in Win95. I
tried System Commander to make a dual boot system but found it to be kinda
a hassle for the number of times I used the dos programs (but well worth
the price - I'll sell you the copy if you want it). I ended up using an old
386 running in DOS only - not even win3.1 - and putting all my dos stuff on
it. You'd be suprised how fast a *slow* 386 or 486 runs when it runs only
dos. Thier cheap as dirt nowdays too.
