SN76495N??

hiya
i guess you all have probably realized that my memory is pretty spotty by now.
i may have asked about this device before and if i have just give me a swift
kick in the rear. what the heck is a SN76495N? i think i bought it at radio
shack back in the mid eighties and it keeps resurfacing. the tandy folks can't
say what it is W/O their part #. if i remember correctly it was some sort of
noise/sound synthesizer thingie. ok my brain needs a rest. thanks. mike.
