You're absolutely right but you could use it for yourself as a kind of 
memory. And I bet that 90% of the diy listers is interested in hearing the 
sound of all those unique homemade modulars.

Also CD's are extremely durable. If you're unique modular gives up after x 
period of time you can always sit back and get nostalgic (or crazy ;->) when 
listening to it again.

What does a recordable CD cost anyway!
