On the other hand, look how fat operating systems have gotten. Boing.
Actually, thanks to all the addressing modes, the 6502 is faster than any
of its contemporaries. As Martin has pointed out there are faster ones
available today (20MHz+ 65C02's). And it was priced right. No wonder Apple,
Atari and Commodore all used it.
