Hi,

I was asked so many times about the "environment" of my
2040-clone filter that I decided to make scans of the schemos,
layout and component overlay of the whole VCF / VCA
board of the JH-4. I will send it out to everybody who shows
interest.

Important:

This is still no polished DIY project. The schemos are hand drawings,
with component values being crossed out and changed to optimized
valuest. The 4 sheets
of schemos won't be 100% compatible to one another either, i.e.
parts of the circuit will appear twice on two sheets, and changes
might not be back annotated to 100%. The PCB layout and component
overlay is just as I built it, so this should work as it is. And the schemos
will help to figure out how it all works. For block diagrams and further
descriptions, you also need the JH-4 stuff from my homepage.
This is still part of a larger system, so instead of individual connectors
for inputs and outputs you will find two connectors that
carry all the signal abd control voltages. You might be able to make it
a stand alone module, nevertheless. Everything is completely voltage
controlled, i.e. an ota or transistor pair where you would have a
potentiometer.

The board contains two VCFs, the scanner to crossfade between 4
VCF outputs, a stereo VCA with VC pan modulation, and the VCAs
to control filter modulation depth / polarity, keyboard tracking and so
on.

I will collect emails from people who show interest in these files
for a few days, and I will then send the whole bunch out *once*
as a mail with a 2.2 MB attatchment. Please make sure that
this email will *not* bounce back to me, i.e. that your account
can handle emails of that size.

JH.
