Hello Bill,
I have also been looking for a cad pgy for the PC. Autocad is way too much
for most things I do. I hate having to slide the the F@#%##% grid around.
Autosketch is neat'o but you still have to slide the the F@#%##% grid
around. I haven't seen a new version for a long time. There are some other
"big guns" but they are also too much for what I do.
I bought a copy of Key-Cad for like $12 at office depot. It's not too bad,
at least it has a consistant grid, but for tiny 1/10" stuff it sucks
because
the lines float off the grid.
I looked at all kinds of sw/pd stuff........(no comment)
On this months "PC Plus" cover cd is a nice full version of TotalCAD
v1.0. Now this is more like what I'm looking for. PC Plus is one of
those Future publications from the UK. Jolly good if you ask me.
Usually about $14 if you can find it. Just for fun there is also a full
version of Lotus 123 v5, WordPerfect v8 for Linux and Checkit v5.
Last months cd was The StarOffice for Linux and AmiPro for Win.
The idea being they give you a full working version of an older
product. In hopes you upgrade to a newer version. This is fine
with me 'cause the free pgy is usually all I need.
