PNP NPN matching

I built a little circuit for matching transistors I got the schematic  (or
the url to one) from someone on this list (sorry that I don't remember
who) and I can use it to test both kinds of transistors.  The circuit
involved measuring a   DC voltage from base to emiter (I think) and the
values were typically around .580 or so.  Isn't this good enough to match
complimentary pairs?

Also, I know this may seem lazy but it sucs to use the internet from
Colombia (at least with my provider) so I got tired of searching for a
good IC search engine (i want to be able to search by number) can someone
please send me a url..
