This reminds me of the Korg DSM-1 (rack mount DSS-1, if i remember the
model number correctly) As far as i know, it has 16 individual outputs,
but lacks the resonance on the filters. So why not use 8 of the outputs as
triggers to drive envelope generators for an external set of 8 filters?
This would turn the DSM-1 into one hell of a powerful beast. You would
half the polyphony to 8 voices, but this wouldn't be a problem with 8
digital samples being fed through some decent filters.... i'm sure this
setup would sound very fat indeed. Anyone have any experience with doing
something like this on another seamingly useless beast?
