ok i am starting to get worried here. everytime i come up with an interesting
idea for a project it shows up somewhere else a few weeks later. about six
weeks ago i was checking out Haible's wave scanner and i thought to myself,
gee i could do something similar using a bar display chip and it wouldn't be
terribly complex. now that idea has turned up here. this has happened so many
times in the past year that i am starting to wonder if i have little spies in
my head. very weird. then again maybe this is a good thing. i'll think up
stuff and leave the fleshing out to others and save myself some effort.:)
also for anybody looking for LM3900s i found some in the TechAmerica catalog
$1.27 a pop. you can search for them on the web or pick up the catalog at the
nearest Radio Shack. thats enough ranting for now. see ya.

No, both 3915s are in dot mode. This gives me one line active at
a time, making it a lot easier to steer it to the output I want.

The wave selector is not a true adc. I rearranged it so it would
switch waves in the order I wanted. Ruins it for adc applications.
But your 4532 idea might work fine on this version. I though
somebody might be interested, so I converted it to a more
proper adc.
