hello all
i always hate to be a harbinger of bad news but i thought the best thing would
be to let you guys know what i was told seeing as we all have uses for the
3046. on a positive note i found an interesting item in the Mouser catalog, a
quad 3906 transistor array, and a quad 2907 array. these seem to be promising
devices for PNP transitor applications such as expo. converters. i am going to
order a few pieces of the 3906 device for use in dual filter unit i am planing
to build in the future. i just checked my 3046 stock and i'm down to 6 pieces
:(. well i'm off, i need to hunt down a pinout for this quad 3906. take care.
Mike
by the way, is anyone familiar with a 3084. i found one lying around and
couldn't locate it on Harris' site.

Yesterday I placed an order with JDR ( http://www.jdr.com ), they only
had 38 devices in stock. I wanted a 100, and they said that they could get
the rest in a few days. I sort of figured this would be my life time buy.
Seems to me that maybe somebody should make up a list of IC's and
transistors that are useful and track their status. One always like to
assume that the availability of useful parts will continue forever. All I
can say is that DIY just keeps getting more challenging. Although, that
just means we need to be more creative.
