3046 still being made?

Another place to try is Allied (www.allied.com). They do have a $50 min
I think. The 3046 is also the CA3046 as well as the LM3046...

Most of these rather common ICs are available in the 10's of thousands
on the surplus market. For instance, today I could buy 50,000 LM3900 no
problem (except for the huge bill). The problem for the DIYer is buying
just a few. If this ever becomes a huge obstacle, I will consider IC
sales, but for now just work that list of surplus places...it should be
easy to pick up most of these ICs.
