AC-coupling of pulse wave?

I think: all (audio) module inputs should have a ac/dc switch (fc=10Hz)
to avoid or allow dc offset.

Popping noise with fast envelopes is most objectionable with dark waveforms,
like sine. It would be a good idea to sync the sine to 0 before triggering
the envelope (of course only in case of new trigger, in legato playing this
would only pop more ...).
You can't sync a bipolar pulse waveform to 0, but syncing may enshure
that the pop is the same for every trigger. Thus it would
be part of the fast attack and no longer hurt your ears.
I think: waveforms with dc components will always pop if attack is fast,
this is part of the sound. A plucked string also pops. The only thing
is that it should pop always the same in a sequence (like hitting the string
several times), and not random like due to the beating of vco and
pattern generator (eg.).
