Hi all.
Yesterday I powered up my Korg-35 clone VCF. It is built from the schematics that Juergen Haible made.
It seems to work as it should. The output signal is quite low, but I suppose that is normal. I had to amplify it 30 times to get it up to around 10 volts peak to peak.
The resonance is rather subtle, compared to other synths that I have (Novation Bass Station for instance). It will oscillate, but I can't get that whistling high resonance sound.
But overall, I think it sounds quite OK. It is not as noisy as I had imagined.
I added a tracking CV input, that tracks 1 volt/oct. A 150k resistor and a 20k trimmer connected in series does it. It is possible to play melodies over two octaves while it oscillates. I don't think it will track a much larger range satisfactorily though. And temperature stability is questionable, of course.
/Jorgen
