Switching S/PDIF

Y-ellow Y'all.
Humm. All this has provoked more thought on this. It would be desirable to
use pulse transformers or optical. Or a combination of both. It would
prevent any chance of a hum loop. But I can neither afford nor source such
things down here. 8 suitable pulse transformers would cost me more than a
week's wage I'm sure. Especially with the monopoly money I get paid. I only
have one thing that can use optical. Though it would be kinda cool to use
it because it also has two other S/PDIF I/Os as well.

I'd have to do it direct from HC through a couple of resistors. What is the
difference between HC and HCU? Never heard of HCU. But then that's not
surprising down here.

Thanks in advance.

Be absolutely Icebox.
