wirewound pots in the audio path

The other day at work I tried using a small accelerometer 
as a contact mic.  The charge amp gain is set by a pot 
that sounds like this style.  Anyway, I noticed that when 
I adjusted it I heard a little zzz...zzz...zzz on the output.  
Makes sense that you would hear the wiper going across 
the little wires, but I would not have thought of it.  

I don't know if the ones you mention are wirewound.
Having the multi-turn dial would be great for noting 
precise settings.  CV gain, CV offset, tuning...
Maybe not in the audio path though.

Seems like a good price. (?)
