Over the years, Korg have built very different versions of the same filter
topology.
Aparently they tried what ever they could find as VC resistor elements,
Vactrols
(PE-1000), Diodes (MS-50), Transistors (MS and PS range), OTAs (2nd rev.
MS-20)
and maybe more.
The only other manufacturer that comes to mind for doing a similar thing was
Wurlitzer for the tremolo in their electric pianos.
