Robby appeared on LIS because the shows own 'Robot' was designed by Robbie's
creator.
Check out http://www.the-robotman.com/home.html if you want your own
'Robbie' built from the original moulds...
Ideal for frightening children ;-)

BTW I think someone was a bit mixed up when they described the Theremin
cutting through the orchestra on the FP soundtrack - sounds like they were
thinking of 'The Day the Earth Stood Still' to me... 
There's definitely no orchestra on FP, and I don't believe there's any
theremin either.
I have the FP soundtrack on CD - it also frightens children...
