Which is nice. =) Though probably not for the ones who want to stick into
the subject. usenet news is the weapon of massdestruction.

I agree. However, as time goes by, I have noticed that I tend to
appreciate more sounds, rather than what is exactly played. It still
matters, for sure, but still it's the rhythm and sound that rules
(nice =), if you are familiar with the production of the artists I'm
about to promote). For the first time in music, electronic instruments
have given us the freedom to shape *sound* into pretty much anything we
can think of (ofcourse it has its limits, but still), and the sad part is
that even most of the so called "electronic" composers don't seem to take
full advantage out of it. Anyhow, here are some of my favorites, which
seem to have found their own sound:

Moriz von Oswald (anything from him really. the only artist whose stuff
amazes me each and every time I hear it. on labels
Maurizio, Rhythm & Sound (aha), Burial Mix, Chain
Reaction (as Quadrant), Main Street etc...)
Porter Ricks (aka. Continuous Mode. on labels Chain Reaction, Force
                   Inc. (the housier stuff))
Autechre (you should know the score.)
Mimic and the Model (just "Mimic and the Model". don't know who these
guys are or what they have published before, but
                      it's a nice one)
Schulze (to be frank, "Are You Sequenced?" is the only album I
                   have listened to a lot)

Some labels to check: din, imbalance, chain reaction, ll, Metrojuice
(most of the time, I rely on labels, not artists)
Oh yeah, most of the stuff is only released on wax (apart from the
obvious ones, plus dins, Maurizio and Burial Mix compilations)

Simplicity? Man, I thought we're talking simple music =)
The rest of the stuff I listen to is mostly house, techno (crap thing is
that most people have never heard techno, but show off like they knew
everything about it =)), dub and various things I find interesting (Joe
Hisashi and a load of anime soundtracks).
