Someone from the list once mentioned that an aging nicad battery may be
the culprit to my machines problems. In case someone new to the list since
then knows or someone already here has gained knowledge, here it goes
again.
The machine powers up and all the lights come on. The numeric display
reads "00" (double zeroes) and that's all it does.
I found a PCB in the lower front left hand corner with three double "A"
type nicad-looking betteries attatched to it with a plastic strap. They
all say "Japan" on them and nothing else but some numbers. Are these the
culprits?
BTW: The machine is a "type/revision b" model.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
