Just to clean out the Moog closet I went ahead and did the PolyMoog
vcf. I didn't attach because it's 20K. I've bombarded you guys with
Moog stuff lately anyway. This one is also constant amplitude. While
I had it on the board I did every example I have of it. They are all
constant amplitude. It seems like they designed the filters to avoid
the variable amplitude characteristic of the minimoog's vcf.
Sonically the variable amplitude type sounds just like all the other
Moog filters (very good but they all sound much the same) the
difference being as the filter sweeps up a touch of res starts to
appear rather than having to keep it just on the edge of oscillation
you can adjust it to oscillate just a little....nice! and very natural
for a lot of things, but if cranked it can hurt you!
The PolyMoog vcf had vc res and an added vca. I also show an
opamp ouput option.
