To elaborate a bit on Tom G's economical comment "No!", it can be linear or
log taper.  However, if you use a reverse log pot, you will have increased
knob resolution in the most critical part of the range of the pot:  the area
around where the filter breaks into oscillation.  On a Minimoog, for instance,
which has the reverse log resonance pot, It's easier to dial in just the sound
that you want, especially if you're going for that "just on the edge"
resonance sound.

You could always use an audio taper linear slide pot and mount it "upside
down".  ARP did this on a few of their synths, to get reverse log response.

But it's not a big deal - go ahead and use a linear pot.  You probably
wouldn't even notice the difference, unless you use it on a Minimoog, where
the oscillation point would end up at a different spot on the dial.
