Well, he must be mellowing in his old age. I asked him once if he would
consider giving a subscription discount to people who wrote for him and
the answer was a very emphatic NO. And again he never responded to my
several attempts to get my subscription fixed when it got messed up.  I
honestly thought he was dead.
