ODP: DAC resolution

I already mentioned this long ago, but the DAC resolution topic
is back again.
In Polysynth's samplers I used 12-bit AD7548 as a 8-bit DAC
It's not for oscilator CV, but the best part is its price.
I used it because it was unbelivably cheap as for 12-bit.
Now, thanks to currency degradation it is for about 1$
but you have to desolder it (PLCC20) from hybrid module.
Nobody knows what this module is, but there are plenty of them available
so maybe in your area they could be to
