Thanks a lot for sharing your experiences with the Paia Midi2cv8. The conclusion seems to be that it is fully acceptable if certain conditions are met.
Another alternative that looks even better on paper (fosphor) is the Tellus Tone MCVD8x8. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be shipping yet. It has been shown at music stores here in Sweden, but that probably was just a mock-up.
I hope they get it out the door, because it does just about everything that the Paia does, has 12 bit resolution, has some programmability and some other useful features. You can download the manual from their site (
