I'm sure we've been thru this one before...

I have built 5 cv convertors of my own design using 8 bit dacs with 100%
satisfactory results every time.
The output of the dac just needs a bit of gain to give a 0.0833 mv step per
LSB to give the required 1 v/oct.
If you want hz/v output, or pitch bend without using another channel, it's a
different story.
