I think it is not a toy,and I DO sell a competing product (the Frostwave
quad midi cv with 8 analog outs.. 4 pitch, 4 velocity on
4 adjacent channels). Now mine has 16 bit D to A, but really it is a matter
of what one is using the system for.

Like buying software etc, always think "what do i want to do" and if you
think hard enough, no disappointment will ensue.
