MIDI->CV and controller

Could list members please recommend MIDI->CV converters and MIDI
controllers for my modular synth. I think this should be privately
mailed unless several people say they would like to hear it all too.
I have heard of the PAIA, Midwest Analog, and JKJ units. I'd like an
inexpensive kit. Kit panels must be black or kits need to available as
PCB with parts and I can make the panel to match my synth. I'd also like
units that are easily available in the USA.
I would not mind critques and comments comparing and contrasting the
above units as regards features and performance also (velocity/pressure
available?, etc.).
I also need a keyboard controller for a cheap price. I know Kaysound and
a few other companies make units for about 100 or 200 dollars. I'd like
mod wheels preferably.
