-it may not make a big difference so far as the sound of a static wave, but
if the phases of various harmonics were to change over time, then that would
probably make a difference.. remember that phase modulation and frequency
modulation are related by differntiation, so changes in the phases would
correspond to changes in their frequencies, no?
