Vocoders.....Judgement Day

Dear All,

	Thanks for the useful and interesting info posted regarding
	the choice of a 'budget' vocoder.

	I already have a Boss SE-50 and have used the vocoder
	'algorithm' from it but want an extra unit for live use as well 
	(greed IS good !)

	I've listened to the PAIA vocoder samples and the intelligability
	seems quite good - how does it compare to the Zoom unit - has
	anyone used one ? (the Zoom unit that is ?)

	One other question is, does the PAIA vocoder use non-prefered
	values of capacitors (you know the type 5.3nF !!!) ? There's no
	schematic on the PAIA web so its difficult to judge. If I go for
	the PAIA unit it will probably be the PCB+front panel to keep
	shipping costs down - have any of you good people taken this 
	approach ?

	Perhaps I'll just build a talk-box and save my dentist from 
	removing my teeth !!
