Hi all,
I have not measured Vgs(on) yet, but suffice to say it is low, ie. about
0.3V. Most fets are spec'd to be higher, although you can select 3819s
etc. The TBs saw wave will depend on your choice of fet. Too high a
pinch off and you will get a flat top to your waveform, which has a
knock on effect on the square wave out. Probably why some TBs sound
different to each other. Alternatively run your voltage follower off a
higher voltage to that of the VCO. I have used the correct part for the
TB3030 because Roland sell all three sorts no problem... at the moment,
because they don't know what I'm doing with them. :-)
