MS20 Filter

Hi,
has anyone built the MS 20 filter from 'Tom's Synth Cookbook' on the Electronics -

for Musicians web site?

I have built one as a dual HP/LP filter and while I am getting a signal through 
the filtering is very weedy as is the resonance, I can hear the circuit working 
in some way but there is obviously something awry. I have already corrected the 
leg configuration on the 2N3906 although it caught me out to begin with.
I am wondering if I am using the correct type of caps?
If anyone has any experience of this project and has any tips please let me know.-
