Hi, is any body using a foot pedal with a midi sequencer, allowing you to
start, stop, playback, forward, rewind the midi recording playback, with out
having to go to the computer to click on the mouse or press a few buttons on
the Stand alone sequencer like my MMT-8, I mean after every successful midi
performance recording, I have to tell y PC that I'm finished now and would
like To go to track number two and record the next performance, which means
I have to stop my creative performance, walk over to the PC, click a few
times on the mouse, walk back to my rig, sit down, and start over again (if
possible).
Same thing on my MMT-8 sequencer, after I c ome up with that fat ass keyboard
lick, I have to stop my performance, press the record, start buttons on the
MMT-8, let the four time counter clicks go by before it starts recording the
performance, now that the fourth click is up and the MMT-8 is going to start
recording what I'm going to play, I sort off remember what that fat pattern
Went like, I start playing and thanks to all the carrots I eat all is well, I
hit the right keys at the right time and I have my performance on track one.
Now again I have to walk over to the MMT-8, push a few buttons so I can go on
and get track 2 ready to record to, I hate this about Sequencers, what's up,
is any boy thinking up there, how can I get what I want done?, any body know
what I'm talking about?, I mean I want a system where I can play my
synthesizer, when I come up with something I like, I then step on a foot
pedal, that starts the recording right away, then when I come to the end of
my performance, I step on the floor pedal to stop the recording, now I can
press on another pedal or what ever, to forward to the next available track
to record my next performance, dus allowing me to work in an almost real time
mode, with out having to stop my creative thinking for every track that i
want to record, because I have to go press on a button or click on the PC
mouse.
I hope someone reads this massages and replies to me with a good
solution, thank you for any help.
Samir
