I tried this on my MS20 (#1401xx) and got about the same results as Zsolt
described in his message, i.e., I couldn't detect any interlock.  In fact,
I can get the beating down to less than 1 per 45 sec. and (when my fingers
are adept enough) get it to no (or very low) beating.  I don't know what
'early' serial numbers are for MS20's, but in Forrest's A-Z he lists
several 'typical' numbers from 144xxx and up.
