Knobs and stuff

Hi all,
        OK. Pots have shaft length of about 4 / 6 cm. Your average knob is
about 1.6 cm high. If you mount your pot on the front panel, doesn't the
know levitate a good 2 cm off the front panel?

Help / sugestions?
