I've never understood why this (ADSR to VCF, AR to VCA) normalled patch was 
abandoned in favor of its opposite by seemingly all (?) manufacturers after 
the 2600; though I always manually patch the AR to the EXP VCA input. I've 
always thought the way the VCF behaves with ADSR is far more interesting than 
the VCA.
