OB-8 rectifier again

Thanks for all who responded.

Meanwhile I've replaced the rectifier with a 
B80C2300/1500 type (80V, 2.3/1.5A) which is
approx twice as big in geometry as the original one.
But I have no idea for what current the original was specified.
(I'm only famoliar with the B(voltage)C(current) types ...)
It still runs quite hot, but I was hesitating to use a bigger one
because of the much larger dimensions.
So, before I'm going to make more experiments, does anybody
know the current rating for the original rectifiers in the OB-8 ?
