ODP: copper cable

The gold wire in transistors and ic's are not gold-they are gold-plated cu.
I've had tons of Texas instruments employees bring that crap they have
stolen over years to sell for scrap gold. It costs more for the chemicals
to refine it than the final yeild. Actually .999silver is far superior to
gold. Even silver oxide is THE best conductor. As far as "skin-effect", It
doesn't exist until rf. All real transmission gear use silver-plated
connectors. I do use 90% silver solder.       Michael
