So far I heard only jokes.
I also think that there is a lot of weird stuff going on, just making $
from the ignorant.
But my original mail was no joke, I just wanted to know what physics
says about crystals, grains and impurities in conductive material.
I do not think that there are audible effects, but are there any
measurable effects?
Skin effect: I have to check back at home, how deep is the conducting
"skin" at 20kHz. I'm not shure if the decrease in conductor area is
neglegible, but I think this would not be audible.
If those people who buy "audio" cables for 10k $ and more could
see that the power transistors of the amplifier are bonded with 30-50
um gold wire....
