Roman/all,

  Another thought... it would be possible using the system I mentioned in 
part 1, to have a stage where by you have a frequency select pot and another 
for level you could at this point as the bandpassfilter got swept though it 
and adjust the level of this frequency.. again the frequency select could be 
voltage controlled as could the band width and the level.... If you had say 
8 variable band attenuators, this could be fun...
