You can also cut the 1/4" plug off and the cord is got the wires needed to
wire it to an XLR for balanced use (also adding +6dB). At least the older
ones did (I've had mine since they first came out). One of the pro audio
mags did a side-by-side with it and other Pro PZM mics and it stood up
extreamly well. Good luck.
