well.. analog computers have their own inaccuracies of course.. being a Devils'
Advocate, remember you can keep making the numerical solutions arbitrarily
accurate. The reason for using an analog computer is to avoid having to do
stuff like Fourier analysis and boundary valued differential equations.
Incidentally, it's interesting to see the career of someone like Kaplus of
'plucked string simulation' fame, from his early analog compouter days to
the world of 01010101.
