If the declared value is less than $1000 Australian, there shd be no big
problem. Customs are a law unto themselves, though, and VERY unhelpful,
compared to every other Australian bureaucracy I have come across.
I had a lot of trouble with a Fatman kit, they wanted to charge me 45%
duty as an 'amplifier'. After 4 hours I wore them down to 17.5% (I think)
as an 'organ accessory'. Good luck!!
If it is over $1000 A declared value, they will make you use a customs
broker ($$$) and you will wish you had never been born.
