Sequencer design and facilities...

Hi Folks,
I'm designing a sequencer to integrate with Digisound and Modulus equipment.
It's going to be a 16-step analogue unit with probably four CV channels and
a couple of switchable Gate channels. It'll come in on a 12" x 9" panel for
Digisound/Modulus sized synths, though there's nothing to stop you putting
it ohn a 6U x 19" unit with bigger pots etc, I 'll only be doing panel
artwork for the 12x9 though..
I was thinking of doing it so that several less than usual facilities are
available.... It'd be good if I can get it to be a 4 x 16 parallel, 2 x 32
(serial in parallel) and 1 x 64 (all serial) step sequencer,, it'll need
clock in and out, CV4 will be switchable to Gate 1 pulse length ( a nice
feature that won't cost a lot of circuitry behind the panel and only one
switch on the front.... Gate 1 will have two outputs and a switch on each
step that controls which (or neither) it goes to, Gate 2 will be switchable
for No-op, Gate, Trigger or Gate and Trigger. There'll be a couple of LED's
on each step so it'll look good :-)), some clock dividers built in cos
they'll come in handy, a run/pause on gate function (gate controls 4066/4016
that connects clock to step generator...), possibly a slew-rate limiter
available to turn the unit into a big envelope generator....that kinda
thing. Construction is going to be 16 channel strips (four CV pots, two gate
switches, two gate LED's and an individual trigger out) I should be able to
get 4 strips out of a Eurocard, and a pair of Eurocards for control
circuitry. The whole lot will be strung together with IDC ribbon cables to
keep it easy and also to allow for the 6U x 19" version to be built
easily.... The 12" x 9" one will need fairly small pots (15mm or less) but
they're fairly easily obtainable over here, at 19" you could go for 19mm or
even 22mm I guess...
Any comments and wish-lists welcome but I can't guarantee to implement
them....this is the sequencer that I want to build......
