You wont be able to get the Micro used, it was an hitachi thing (I think) 
and was preprogrammed at the factory...

a PIC is a small micro controller (uC).. Im using an AVR for my Polysynth, 
and hope to do a Simmons SDS6 type controller using this chip too!

I also (cuase Im mad you understand) want to create my own polyphonic 
wavetable synth, not too unlike the waldorf wave... but with oberheim matrix 
type routing of signals, eventually.... told you I was nuts.
