Scope buying advice

All,

  Just my twopenneth...

  I got a scope. an old 20Mhz vavle scope 'with storage (ok it just 
flouresses teh screen so the picture doesnt fade :-) )'... It smain use is 
to see waveforms... thats it...
  My meter has a fequency counter, its only been used as such once (when I 
couldn't find my scope leads, just to see it something oscilated).
