Hello listers,
i have just joined this list, browsing the PAIA site...i am on the quest
to build analog synth as i don't have money to buy any vintage expensive
types...i almost don't know nothing about electronics building, only
some basic things, but i have a friend who can do it for me...i really
don't know much about analog synthesis, i am kind of guitar effect freak
as i play guitar...i need synth basically to get some strange sounds,
not to play chords, complicated melodies or such...what i'm asking you
is to send me schematics of some if you have it ...(PCB drawing or
explanation also would be great)...i guess that you probably have
something close to this if not same thing...options for me:
1) to build something like knob controlled theremin with additional
options, like one-note-source synth with:
-sine/square oscillator
-knobs for volume, pitch, LPF, resonance (is resonance like wah guitar
effect?)
-sine/square LFO to control those 4 above, but with option that i can
also use first three with LFO if i want as an option...(example:
LFO+pitch=vibrato, but that i can move pitch up or down with vibrato
on...) desirable with option that can speed up very fast with volume and
square sine to get kinda pseudo ring modulator sound...
2)to build all this stuff above, but with 12 buttons that can be notes,
maybe with switch for octaves, and with ADSR envelope for volume, pitch,
LPF, resonance
OK, i saw that PAIA FatMan synth that can be an building option...but i
don't know how can i control it...i don't have midi keyboard or
something like that...
other suggestions? If you have any schematics for something close to
what i described above PLEASE send me on my e-mail or send me link where
i can download it...if you don't have it, some siple stuff would be
great also...
THANK YOU!!!!!
