The waves on the VS are mixed by a 2D analog crossfade circuit. Does the
joystick control the circuit directly or is it quantisized by the cpu
for wavecylce storage and converted to an analogue signal back? (The mix
of the four wavecycles, which is being set by positioning the joystick
between four points in a circle representing the four waveforms A,B,C
&D, can be saved as a new wavecycle.)
Same Q for the wheels, are they quantisized too? The bender on old
analog Roland synths directly controls the circuitry and thus bypasses
the nasty quantisation. The filter on the VS could be controlled
directly too but since it can affect the LFO's and the chorus too I
don't know for sure.
Does the rack version have that groovy joystick too? Too bad that
panning isn't 2D I've always wanted to rotate sounds between 4 speakers.
Thanks
