606 bd pitch-sweep mod

Hello,
I have spent the last week simulating the Waterston 606 mods in Spice. It
is really cool to be able to run a simulation, export the data to a wav
file and actually hear what the circuit will sound like! At first I
simulated the unmodified circuit and compared it to the real 606 bd, I
could barely notice a difference! (If anyone wants to know more about how
to do this, just ask). The decay and pitch mods have simulated very well
and I am excited to eventually get these implemented in hardware.
Anyway, my problem: I can't get this pitch-sweep circuit to work. I know
that the Waterston article has a lot of errors in it, so I have been
experimenting with different resistor values, without any luck. It has
been a while since I studied transistors, so I figure digging up my books
and actually trying to understand the theory behind the circuit will be my
last resort ;) . If anyone has any experience with this circuit, would
you please get in touch and tell me what you did to get it to work!
Thanks,
Hess
