This is just not true. It sounds cheesy and very cheap.
You are free to prefer this little piece of crap over Mini, but I bet nobody would 
exchange his old'n'dirty Mini or Odyssey to a new shiny SIDstation.

I listened to C64 many times and I must say it never impressed me. First of all,
the allegedly powerful filter is a crap in comparison to Moog ladder. All the bleeps
originated from the SID may be easily replicated using a simple but smartly 
programmed synth, especially under uP control. 

This is SYNTH-DIY not AH and it is perfectly ok to consider it in DIY terms, and NOT 
in terms of full scale productions. For us it's a fun to design a new thing. 
I repeat - with the full respect to the designer of the SID chip, it's pointless to 
hunter for the stupid chip. Build your own better minisynth.
